This is the official rowel that is used in the PBR at all three levels of competition: PBR Built Ford Tough Series, PBR Velocity Tour, and the PBR Touring Pro Division.
The PBR rowel is the most commonly used rowel in the bull riding industry today.
This is a "Self Locking" rowel.
Bull riding rowels are like guitar strings. The more you use them eventually you will need to replace them. Depending on how many bulls you get on in a year you should always change out rowels every 6 months to a year.

I really like the look of these self locking rowels. Won't be able to use them for a couple months but I have confidence in them once I do just from the way they fit the spurs. These will be very handy!
